Baljit has worked in the counselling field for over 28 years. Baljit has worked with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of issues across the life cycle, including mental health challenges, relationship conflict, issues of identity, as well as grief and loss. Baljit values working with people from all walks of life and is passionate about helping people to have the best life possible despite past painful, and unhelpful experiences. Baljit has an optimistic outlook on life and believes that given the ‘right conditions’, each
person can reach their potential, and have a right to do so. Baljit is also an experienced group facilitator, Clinical Supervisor and dedicated Yoga teacher

Therapeutic Approach
Baljit works from a person-centred, strength based approach in order to assist clients towards achieving their goals and living a happy and fulfilled life. She is compassionate, nonjudgemental and utilises qualities such as empathy, warmth and respect to facilitate a safe, therapeutic environment. Baljit draws from a wide range of modalities including Family Systems, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused brief therapy, mindfulness and spirituality. She believes that one small change can lead to bigger changes but is mindful that trauma can hold people back. Hence, Baljit works from a trauma informed practice.
