Key responsibilities

·        Providing psychological services to a variety of clients including private individuals and couples, EAP clients, corporate, people with a disability, their families, and carers.

·        Liaising with Lion Counselling and Psychology, GP’s, community and corporate organisations and clients

·        Maintaining high quality case notes, individual plans, reviews, and client records

·        Submit weekly statistics and client reports

·        Managing and facilitating client referrals

·        Managing online calendar

·        Assisting practice in other areas and projects as required

Psychologists must be listed on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Qualifications and experience

Essential

·        Eligibility to provide psychological therapy services under Medicare

·        Ability to truly connect with people

·        Must be caring, compassionate and client centred

·        Strong communication skills – verbal, non-verbal and written

·        Ability to communicate professionally and concisely with GPs

·        Professional presentation

·        Ability to self-manage

·        Accurate record keeping ability

·        Knowledge of community resources and strong networking skills

·        A strong passion and belief in the counselling and psychology profession

·        Member of the Australian Psychological Society

·        Police Clearance

·        Working with Children Check

·        ABN

·        Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance

Desirable

• Clinical Psychologist
• Can provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Can provide clinical Hypnotherapy
• Experience working with NDIS clients (disability industry)

Remuneration

Pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
